Riedel Glassworks introduces the latest addition to its line of hand-blown, handmade decanters - the Superlegero decanter. Designed to complement the Superleggero range of glasses, which are hand-blown, unusually tall and extremely light.

From the bulbous base rises the tall, slender neck of the decanter bearing the seal with the engraved Riedel logo. For more comfortable use, the base is equipped with a special recess that allows you to pour wine with one hand. Likewise, the neck is adapted to make pouring wine easier - it is narrow and sharp. The wine is allowed to fully develop, it is aerated twice - when you pour it into the decanter and when you serve it. Like other hand-blown decanters, Superleggero is made exclusively by hand by master glassmakers. It is the right piece for every Riedel lover's collection .

"Personally, I prefer decanting for both young and more mature wines. In the case of mature wines, decanting is an expression of respect; in the case of young wines, it is an expression of trust. Decanting mature wines shortly before serving ensures that the colour and clarity are not impaired by sediments that have formed in the wine during storage. Decanting young wines a few hours before serving will give the wine the opportunity to develop its bouquet, to acquire a degree of maturity that it would otherwise only achieve with years of storage."
