Fruit bowl from the La Stanza dello Scirocco design collection, designed by Sicilian designer Mario Timarchi. The collection is inspired by the magical atmosphere of old Sicilian houses, whose rooms lack windows and usually have only one light. Their inhabitants are waiting for the great heat to subside and the dry southerly wind called the Scirocco, which brings with it clouds of sandy dust from as far away as the Sahara. With its small fragments of different sizes and geometric irregularity, the collection offers an engaging imbalance of light and shadow.
